I was pleasantly surprised with this book. I expected this to be of the ‘cookie-cutter’ variety based on how many novels Mz. Griffin has published in her career. But she laid forth a winner with this one; a very sweet love story wrapped up with some serious explosions and sniper action.

Even though this was the 4th book in the series and I didn’t read the other 3 the story was understandable as a stand alone.

So, what had happened was, a sniper attack on the local campus left the shooter dead to suicide and survivor, Sophie, in the crosshairs. The bad guys weren’t too keen on Sophie’s news interview in which she indicated there was a second shooter and that people should call the cops for further information.

The cops were not happy either.

They didn’t have the budget for the circus this was likely to turn into. The shooter was dead and authorities wanted nothing more than to put this incident in the rearview mirror and move on with their lives. That was definitely not going to happen, and I suggest you grab a copy and read about it.
