Girl In The Glass Box

Genre: legal thriller, crime fiction, suspense

Author: James Grippando

This was a very gripping and entertaining novel from start to finish. I thoroughly enjoyed the story Mr. James Grippando portrayed. I learned legal terminology I was unaware of prior to sitting down and reading this tale, alongside a not-so-well documented disorder that happens in cases of refugees, that I thought was a very interesting twist to the already well thought out masterpiece that is The Girl in the Glass Box.

When I began reading this novel, I envisioned that it would be more like an urban story, but it turned out I was wrong. The storyline is based in Miami, and the discussion revolves around helping a woman and her daughter that were trapped in the legal hoops of fighting for asylum because of her abusive spouse, who also happened to be part of the local Cartel. I was pleased that he did not portray the story in a trashy way. This was well thought out, not crass, and had me guessing along, until the very end.

Sidenote, although I do endorse this book, I must add that I quickly returned to the store for another in the series of Jack Swytek and was disappointed that another entitled Are You Afraid of the Dark did not live up to its predecessor.

In all, I highly recommend The Girl in the Glass Box by James Grippando.
