I found this on the bookshelf at the library. It called to me because you could tell it’s been well read. So that and the idea of a good urban fiction sounded fun. The first scene really had some potential. Imagine this. A group of narcos busting the cartel mid-action of a huge drug trade off. Money in exchange for a lot of cocaina. Conveniently this cartel dude, whom has all the politicians in his back pocket, was so unassuming that not only did he practically hand himself, red-handed, over to the narcos, with nary any resistance, but also he conveniently had all his books with him? Mz. Windle had all the makings for a killer scene. One to really set the hook instead it was a dud. Better luck next time.
